A Playlist For…

What we keep, and for how long

Short version: you can browse and search without giving us anything. We only store what you choose to send.

Browsing and searching

Searching for a playlist runs in your browser against our published list. What you type isn’t sent to us or saved unless you press “Send to the editor”. There are no accounts and no ads.

We use Google Analytics to count visits, which pages are read, and clicks on links that leave the site, such as “Listen on Spotify”. A click tells us someone clicked. It doesn’t tell us anything was played. Google Analytics sets cookies. We have turned off Google signals and ad personalization for this site, and we don’t run ads.

For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google Analytics starts with its analytics cookies turned off.

Google Analytics never sees what you type into the request or report forms.

When you send a request, a report or a custom-playlist brief

We store:

We don’t store your IP address with your request. To block spam, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks your browser when you send. We also briefly count how often a connection sends requests so we can slow floods, and those counts aren’t kept. An email you give for a reply is used only to reply. It never puts you on a mailing list.

Payments

Custom playlists are paid by invoice after we agree on the brief. The invoice comes from our payment provider, and we never see or store your card details.

Who handles it

The site and its request database run on Cloudflare (Workers, D1 and Turnstile). Visit counts go to Google Analytics. The site is published by North Coast AI LLC. Listening links go to Spotify, and what happens there is covered by Spotify’s own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

Requests we aren’t working on are deleted after 120 days. If we’re working on a request, or you’ve asked for a reply, we keep it until that’s finished. We don’t switch on request logging for this site. Cloudflare’s own operational logs are covered by Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Asking us to delete something

Use the report form and choose “Privacy request”. Tell us the reference number you were shown, or the email you used, and we’ll delete the record.
